Relationship of the use of social networking site and college students'cognitive failure:the sequential mediating role of fear of missing out and mobile phone dependence
In order to explore the influence mechanism of social networking sites use on college students'cognitive fail-ure,574 college students were tested with the social networking site use scale,fear of missing out scale,mobile phone addic-tion tendency scale and cognitive failure scale.This study found that,College students'social networking site use intensity,fear of missing out,mobile phone dependence,and cognitive failure were significantly and positively correlated.Social networ-king site use can significantly predict the level of college students'cognitive failure.Fear of missing out and Mobile phone de-pendence have significant separate meditating role effects between social networking site use and college students'cognitive failure,and can also form a significant sequential mediating effect.The fear of missing out and mobile phone dependence played a sequential mediating role between social networking sites use and college students'cognitive failure.
