How sense of school community enhances professional commitment of local public-funded normal students:a chain intermediary model
This paper investigated the influence mechanisms of school community sense on professional commitment,u-sing the Sense of School Community Index Scale for College Students, the Academic Self-Efficacy Scale, the Chinese Adoles-cent Life Satisfaction Scale, and the Professional Commitment Questionnaire to survey among 462 local public-funded normal students. The results show that:(1)Sense of school community, academic self-efficacy,learning satisfaction and professional commitment are positively correlated with each other, and school community sense has a significantly positive impact on pro-fessional commitment, but this positive effect became insignificant when mediating variables were added.(2)The school com-munity sense exerts an indirect influence on stuhents'professional commitment through three paths:the academic self-effica-cy,the separate intermediary role of learning satisfaction, and the chain intermediary role of academic self-efficacy and learning satisfaction.
