Spatial pattern and influencing factors of health status among the elderly population in Guizhou Province
The exploration of the spatial pattern and influencing factors of the health status of the elderly population in Guizhou is of great significance for the implementation of the healthy aging strategy in Guizhou under the context of rapid ag-ing.Based on the data from the Seventh National Population Census in 2020,this article comprehensively measures the health status of the elderly population by using three indicators:self-rated health rate,mortality rate,and life expectancy of the eld-erly population.Meanwhile,exploratory spatial data analysis,geodetector,and geographically weighted regression are used to explore the spatial pattern and influencing factors of the health status of the elderly population in Guizhou Province.The re-search results show that:(1)The self-rated health rate of the elderly population in Guizhou Province follows a southwest-high,northeast-low spatial pattern,with the northwest counties having higher life expectancy than southeast counties.The spatial distribution of elderly mortality rate is the opposite,with a southeast-high,northwest-low pattern.(2)The elderly population in Guizhou Province has a primarily moderate level of health,and exhibits a spatial distribution pattern of higher in the west and lower in the east.(3)The health levels of the elderly population exhibit a certain spatial correlation,forming a spatial clustering pattern primarily characterized by high-high agglomeration areas in the central region and low-low agglom-eration areas in the southeast.(4)The influencing factors of the health level of the elderly population have spatial heterogenei-ty,and the spatial pattern is mainly affected by a combination of factors such as characteristics of the elderly population,cul-tural education,economic development,medical level,family situation,and natural conditions.
