Teaching ability is the key to a teacher's professional ability, which refers to the individual psychological char-acteristics formed by a teacher in teaching practice, based on certain teaching knowledge and skills,to successfully complete teaching activities and promote the development of students'core competencies in the subject. In order to promote the im-provement of teachers'teaching ability,it is particularly important to carry out the evaluation of teachers'teaching ability. The evaluation of teachers'teaching ability is a multi-attribute group decision-making(MAGDM)issue.The widespread appli-cation of social media allows a lot of students to participate in the evaluation process of teachers'teaching abilities, which can greatly improve the accuracy of the evaluation.A MAGDM method based on sentiment analysis and intuitionistic fuzzy sets(IFSs)was proposed and used to evaluation of teachers'teaching ability.Firstly, considering the participation of experts and students in evaluation of teachers'teaching abilities, methods for obtaining and processing student evaluation information are provided, and information fusion method for student and expert evaluation information is also provided. Then,a new alterna-tive ranking method based on sentiment analysis and IFSs was proposed, and detailed calculation steps were provided. We pro-vides an effective MAGDM based method for evaluating teachers'teaching abilities. Finally, the correctness and effectiveness of this method were compared and verified through experiments.
