Pharmacognostical Study of Two Yi Traditional Medicines in the Central Yunnan Region
The pharmacognosy of two Yi medicines,Thalictrum baicalense and Mingmu tea were studied by means of character identification, microscopic identification and physicochemical identification. The results showed that the roots and stems of Thalic-trum baicalense were dark brown and yellow with obvious nodes, small gas, bitter taste. The outermost layer of the root cross-section is a series of epidermal cells, and the cork layer is composed of 4~6 irregular polygonal cork cells.Berberine nitrate crystals can be seen in the microchemical reaction of medicinal materials.Mingmu tea is purplish red conical buds, hard and brittle,fragrant,slight-ly bitter and astringent taste; The structures of epidermal cells, stone cells and ducts were revealed by microscopic identification. The micro-sublimation experiment showed feathery crystals of light brown color.
