Seed germination is the starting point of plant growth and plays a decisive role in the reproduction and evolution of plant populations.Hormones,as a signaling molecule, promote plant cell elongation, stimulate cell division and differentiation, and thus af-fect various processes of seed germination. The interaction and balance regulation of hormones determine the rate and quality of seed germination. This paper focused on the specific effects of hormones on seed germination and the molecular mechanisms regulating seed germination, providing reference for further utilizing regulatory mechanisms to improve yield and quality of garden crops.
