Using the GlobeLand30 land cover data from 2010 to 2020,this paper studied the spatio-temporal change characteristics of land use/cover(LUCC)in Panzhihua City in the past 20 years from the change range and transfer direction of land use types.The results showed that the main land types in Panzhihua City were cultivated land and forest land.At the same time of urban expansion in the past two decades,the land use change in Panzhihua City is mainly manifested in the decrease of grassland and woodland and the increase of artificial land surface.The transformation of land use categories is predominantly characterized by the interconversion among arable land,forested areas,grasslands,and shrublands.
