Effects of Zinc Ions with Different Mass Concentrations on Seed Viability and Seedling Growth of Wheat
In order to study the effect of zinc ion on wheat seed vigor and wheat seedling growth, wheat seeds were grown in an envi-ronment with mass concentration of zinc ions of 0 mg/L,8 mg/L,16 mg/L,32 mg/L,64 mg/L,1 28 mg/L and 256 mg/L,respectively.Germination rate, average germination time and germination potential were recorded, and the seedling length and dry and wet quality of bud roots were measured. The results showed that treating wheat seeds with 32 mg/L zinc solution had the best effect on improv-ing wheat seed vitality. When the zinc ion concentration was≥32 mg/L,the growth of wheat seedlings was inhibited, and the suitable zinc concentration was different for wheat seeds of different varieties.
