Study on the Effect of Square Dancing and Brisk Walking Exercise on Body Composition in Postmenopausal Women
To explore the long-term square dance and walking exercise in improving the quality of postmenopausal women body composition and the relationship between exercise years and body composition,this study recruited long-term square dance and walking exercise of post-menopausal women each 40 people(square dance group and walking group),long-term non-sports population of postmenopausal women 40 people(control group),measure the body composition.The results showed that except for skeletal muscle,the square dance group and the control group(P<0.05);the body fat,body fat rate and health assessment values of the walking group(P<0.05);the square dance group was significantly lower than the walking group(P<0.05).In terms of correlation,postmenopausal women had a high negative corre-lation with body fat,body fat rate,bone muscle ratio and health assessment index value(P<0.01);between postmenopausal women and body fat ratio index value and moderate positive correlation with body fat,bone muscle ratio and health assessment index value(P<0.01).The results showed that long-term square dance and brisk walking could improve the body composition of postmenopausal women,mainly by reducing body fat and improving health level,and the improvement effect of square dance was better than that of brisk walking.The exercise number of years of square dancing and walking is highly correlated with the body fat,body fat rate,bone and muscle ratio and health level of postmenopausal women,but the correlation degree of square dancing exercise is greater than that of square walking exercise,which may be related to the higher intensity of square dancing than walking.
