Research on the"Modernization"Transformation of Taijiquan in the Republic of China
Based on literature and logical analysis,this paper analyzes the"modernization"transformation of Tai Chi in the Republic of China.The research shows that the spirit of the times,modern sports thoughts,science and social elites are the"driving force"of the mod-emization transformation of Tai Chi,and the purpose of practice,the mode of communication and the concept of value are the"pursuit"of the modernization transformation of Tai Chi.Driven by the great changes of the times and the new cultural trend and many other factors,Tai Chi has completed the transformation from"last art"to"sport","popularization"and"scientific".In the transformation,Tai Chi has played an important role in the construction of national cultural image,national fitness,school education,overseas communication and com-petition,highlighting the contemporary value and significance of Tai Chi.
