A Study on the Correlation between Different Physical Health Levels and Hypertension Risk in the Elderly
With the intensification of global population aging and the increasing severity of public health issues such as physical inactivity, hypertension, and obesity, reducing the incidence of chronic diseases, especially obesity, hypertension, and diabetes,to promote healthy aging has become an urgent issue. This study aims to analyze the impact of various physical health indicators on the blood pressure of the elderly and to explore the relationship between different levels of physical health and the risk of hypertension. This is to identify the physical health indicators and cutoff values that should be focused on in the prevention and treatment of hypertension, providing a basis for developing strate-gies for the prevention and control of hypertension in the elderly and for public health policies.Using methods such as one-way ANOVA,chi-square test, and binary logistic regression analysis, the study found significant differences in the prevalence of hypertension among eld-erly individuals with different levels of physical health, with a notable increase in hypertension risk as physical health levels decreased.Phys-ical health indicators such as waist circumference and grip strength were proven to be closely related to the risk of hypertension in the elder-ly.Maintaining an appropriate level of physical health is crucial for reducing the risk of hypertension in the elderly, with particular emphasis on controlling abdominal obesity and enhancing muscle strength to promote cardiovascular health and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disea-ses.Based on the results of this study,it is recommended that regular physical health tests be conducted in daily life and that a good state of physical health be maintained through appropriate exercise and a balanced diet.
