Exploring Future Health:Screening for Indicators of Physical Fitness Associated with the Risk of Hypertension in Adolescents
Globally, the prevention and management of hypertension have emerged as pressing public health concerns. This study aims to ex-plore the applicability of physical fitness assessment indicators in predicting the risk of hypertension among adolescents and the potential of controlling adolescent hypertension effectively through physical fitness training in the future.Employing methods such as independent sample t-tests,factor analysis,chi-square tests, and binary logistic regression analysis, the study identifies sit-ups as a protective factor against hypertension in adolescents, while body mass index(BMI),grip strength, and sit-and-reach are risk factors. The risk of hypertension was found to be highest at the third quartile(Q3)level for grip strength and at the fourth quartile(Q4)level for BMI.The threshold value for pre-dicting the risk of hypertension was 26.65 kg/m2 BMI for boys and 25.05 kg for grip strength in girls.Based on these findings,it is strongly recommended to pay close attention to obesity and muscle strength among adolescents in daily life and to adopt appropriate exercise and bal-anced dietary habits to maintain a good level of physical fitness, thereby laying a solid foundation for the prevention of hypertension.Through such measures, not only can the overall health level of adolescents be improved, but the future risk of hypertension and its related complica-tions can also be effectively prevented, creating favorable conditions for the healthy growth of adolescents.
