A novel triangular resonator filter based on cross-coupling
A novel isosceles right triangle resonator dielectric waveguide filter based on cross-coupling is designed by using high dielectric constant ceramics as the medium.Positive coupling and negative coupling structures are designed on the new triangular resonator structure. The cross-coupling is carried out by introducing the positive and negative coupling between resonators. An eighth-order dielectric waveguide filter with two transmission zeros(TZs)is implemented. It tackles the disadvantages that common dielectric waveguide filters face, like poor out-of-band suppression and high insertion loss, and further reduces the filter's size. Finally, the filter is fabricated and measured. The measurement results show that the center frequency of the filter is 3.5 GHz,the relative bandwidth is 5.41%,and two out-of-band zero points exist at 3.34 GHz and 3.78 GHz,respectively, and the out-of-band suppression is below-70 dB.
