The Author of Hua Shi Hui Yao should be Zhu Mouyin
Hua Shi Hui Yao is an important reference book for the study of the historical data of Ming Dynasty painters,but it is worth investigating whether the editor of this book is Zhu Mouyin or Jin Lai in the Ming Dynasty.This paper investigates the editor of the book from two aspects:the comparison of two versions of Hua Shi Hui Yao with different signatures,the history of Zhu Mouyin's compilation and printing of fine arts literature.It is believed that there are many evidences that Zhu Mouyin compiled the Summary of the History of Painting,and Jin Lai should be a fictitious figure.In addition,the errors made by Mo Boji and Xie Wei have been analyzed,and the methods for identifying the authenticity of painting and calligraphy literature have also been put forward.
