Research on the Generation of Japanese Senki Emaki and its Chinese Origins
Japanese art boasts an abundance of war-related imagery,with one typical example being the Senki Emaki.Influenced by Chinese legal systems and the tradition of"Zhantu",it developed its own distinct tendencies,becoming a significant category of Yamato-e.Comparing Japanese Senki Emaki with Chinese culture contributes to elucidating why the origins of war imagery in both countries are similar,but they have taken divergent developmental trajectories.
