In China,ancient literati accumulated a vast amount of musical literature during the course of history.In addition to official historical records and writings about music,laws,and regulations,we should consider anthologies,notes,and miscellaneous works from previous dynasties when researching ancient music history.These sources contain materials on music theory,studies of the qin,singing and dancing,musical temperament,and more.They serve as direct historical materials and indirect evidence for studying ancient music relics.Despite solely being historical materials,they shed light on the impact of history and culture,making them valuable resources for our research on ancient music history.
