Understanding Music between Different Cultures from a Sociological Perspective——Thoughts on the Issues of Chinese Music Historiography(Part Ⅺ)
From the perspective of sociological theory,this article discusses the composition of culture and music culture,discusses the commonalities and differences of music culture between Chinese music and different civilizations in the world,elaborates on the attitudes that should be held when identifying with different ethnic music languages or other unfamiliar music situations,and explains the need to communicate the hearts of people and resolve the barriers and misunderstandings between people in music matters when"understanding"music from different regions.To incorporate the music cultures of different ethnicities,eras,and characteristics of the world into the perspective of sociology,place them on the same cognitive platform,understand and study them with an unbiased attitude,and explore them with the common principles of music sociology,is a full embodiment of the holistic view of music culture research.We should also adopt an equal and objective attitude towards the diverse music cultures of different ethnic groups and cultures in China,and attach equal importance to the music cultures of different regions and ethnic groups.This is an issue that deserves careful consideration when studying Chinese ethnic music culture.
