How Does Knowledge Coupling Reconstruct the Orga-nization Boundary at Digital Transformation:Based on Cognitive Logic of Entrepreneurial Alertness
The transition from digital production,digital operations to digital services,represents a fundamental change in the manufacturing landscape.Enterprise that does not keep pace with this digital transfor-mation risk becoming obsolete.For the manufacturing sector,digital transformation is no longer optional but a necessary evolution crucial for survival and sustained growth.This paper adopts an inductive sin-gle case study,which focusing on digital transformation,takes Tsingtao Brewery Co Ltd as the case study object to explore valuable research conclusions.First,manufacturing enterprise designs the process mechanism of boundary reconstruction from different fields of action domains(original knowledge structure,new knowledge form,dynamic environment),which provides valuable different conclusions under digital transformation.Secondly,the study also identifies three knowl-edge coupling mechanisms for organizational boundary reconstruction(knowledge recombination,integration,and decoupling)and the un-derlying cognitive logic of entrepreneurial alertness.It demonstrates that the knowledge power competition for knowledge value creativity,and reshapes the organizational boundary through the knowledge in-teraction under digital transformation.Thirdly,it refines the cognitive logic of entrepreneurial alertness for the boundary reconstruction of manufacturing enterprise under digital transformation.The study re-fines entrepreneurial alertness capabilities such as insight capability of knowledge agglomeration,fusion and analysis,synergy capability of knowledge integration and access,agility capability of knowledge rapid iteration and delivery.The research conclusion provides managerial insights for manufacturing enterprise to maintain and develop knowledge power advantages and re-alize digital transformation.First,in the context of digital transformation,manufacturing enterprise should align with customer demand changing,embrace digital information,reshape the development concept and busi-ness model system,and seize the initiative in business competition.Sec-ondly,enterprise should fully realize that the boundary reconstruction is a multi-level and multidimensional dynamic process,and break through the limitations of time and space to find the most effective solution under digital transformation.Thirdly,managers should design strategic deci-sion-making behaviors in different knowledge action fields under digital transformation.Finally,manufacturing enterprise make boundary re-construction decisions with more insightful,innovative and challenging mental models,and break through the aggregation and effective use of valuable knowledge,and build a digital ecology of co-creation,symbiosis and win-win under digital transformation.
