摘要
本文采用 2009-2019 年中国上市企业数据,测度了企业层面的数字创新水平,从而得以使用双重差分法考察"一带一路"倡议对中国企业数字创新的影响效应问题.研究发现,首先,中国上市企业的数字创新水平在 2009-2019 年总体呈现出上升趋势.其次,"一带一路"倡议显著促进了企业的数字创新水平提升,这一结论通过了安慰剂检验及Bacon 分解等多重稳健性检验.此外,机制分析发现,"一带一路"倡议可以通过缓解融资约束、促进合作创新及加强数字基础设施建设三种渠道提升企业的数字创新水平.最后,异质性分析表明,这一积极效应对于新兴优势行业企业、中西部地区企业及非国有企业更加显著.
Abstract
Based on the data of Chinese listed firms from 2009 to 2019,we measure firms'digital innovation level and further use the staggered Difference-in-Difference(DID)method to test the promotion impact of the BRI on firm digital innovation.Firstly,we find that the digital innovation level of Chinese listed firms showed an overall upward trend from 2009 to 2019.Sec-ondly,the DID results show that the BRI can significantly promote firms'digital innovation level.And this conclusion is still significantly valid after a series of robustness tests,including placebo test,parallel trend test and Bacon decomposition.In addition,from the perspective of mechanism,the BRI mainly improves the firms'digital innovation through three channels,easing the financing constraints,promoting cooperative innovation and strengthening the digital infrastructure construction.Finally,the heterogeneity analysis shows that the BRI plays a more significant role in promoting digital innovation for firms in emerging advantageous industries,in the central and western regions,and for non-state-owned firms.
