Studies on Ethics of Big Data Privacy in the Platform Economy Based on Evolutionary Game Theory
The emergence of the platform economy not only generates economic value but also confronts significant challenges stemming from big data ethical dilemmas, including online privacy infringements and information security threats. This study delves into big data privacy ethics within the platform economy, employing evolutionary game theory to dissect the evolutionary trajectory and influential determinants of strategy selection among plat-forms,consumers,and governmental entities under different regulatory levels. The find-ings underscore that enhancing consumer awareness of their rights can compel platforms to uphold big data privacy ethics.Additionally, augmenting the repercussions for platforms'dishonesty and irresponsibility, elevating regulatory standards, and imposing stricter pen-alties serve to fortify platforms'self-regulation.Furthermore,enhancing internal manage-ment efficiency within platforms and mitigating the risks of privacy data breaches and mis-use play pivotal roles in adhering to big data privacy ethics.Based on these results, proactive measures could be implemented to establish an inclusive and diverse regulatory framework for privacy ethics, bolster legal and regulatory infrastructure, and institute mechanisms for platform self-discipline and autonomy to curtail ethical transgressions con-cerning big data privacy within the platform economy. This study furnishes a theoretical groundwork and practical insights for internet platforms to bolster self-discipline,thereby fostering the systematic growth of the platform economy.
