Objective:To investigate the effect of invisible absenteeism on turnover intentions of community nurses in Shihezi city. Methods:Community nurses in Shihezi were selected by stratified whole-group sampling method, and questionnaires were administered using the general situation questionnaire, the Chinese version of Stanford presenteeism scale(SPS-6),and the Turnover Intention Scale. Results:The 185 community nurses had a total score of invisible absence(17.27±4.43);a total score of turnover intention(15.03±4.20);and a significant positive effect of invisible absence on turnover intention(β=0.300,P<0.01).The results of the multiple linear regression analysis showed that implicit absenteeism explained 7.4%of the variance in the intention to leave community nurses in Shihezi.Conclusion:185 nurses'presenteeism was in the upper middle level overall and their turnover intention was at a middle level; The higher the invisible absenteeism, the stronger turnover intention;nursing managers should pay attention to it and target it.
