By reviewing the relevant literature of Saussurea lappa Clarke in recent years,the overview of its pharmacological effects was reviewed.Saussurea lappa Clarke is mainly produced in Lijiang,Yunnan,as the authentic medicinal material of Lijiang,the main ingredients are a-xylosterol,dehydroxylin,yunmu incenolide,isotoxylolide,11,13-epoxy dehydroxylolide,pregnenolone,stigmasterol,dandelion sterol,lilac sweet,etc.,with antibacterial,analgesic,antidiarrheal,anticancer,choleretic and other effects.
