Research on Gender Diversity and Dual Innovation of Board of Directors of Listed Companies
With the increasing status of female directors in the board of directors,the relationship between gen-der diversity and dual innovation of the board of directors has become a hot topic in the practitioner and academic communities.This paper focuses on the relationship between board gender diversity and dual innovation of listed companies and the influence mechanism between them.The baseline regression results show that board gender di-versity has a significantly positive promoting effect on dual innovation,but the effect on exploratory innovation is weaker than that of exploitative innovation.After a series of endogenous treatment and robustness test,the results are still valid.The results of mechanism test show that gender diversity of board of directors promotes dual innova-tion through information effect and supervision effect;The results of heterogeneity test show that the influence of board gender diversity on dual innovation can be significantly different due to the nature of property rights,company size and integration of two positions into one.
