A Study on the Effect of Regional Service Trade on the Servicification of China's Manufacturing Output——Taking CAFTA as an Example
Through the analysis of servicification of China's manufacturing output the based on World Input-Output Table,it is found that the annual growth rate of China's output services to ASEAN is higher than that to the world and domestic markets.Further analysis reveals that the level of servicification of China's manufacturing out-put to ASEAN is very low. However, after the signing of the CAFTA 2.0 Protocol, the level of servicification of China's manufacturing output to most ASEAN countries has increased, with the growth rate of output services to new member countries far exceeding that of the old member countries.Building on the current analysis, this study explores the mechanism by which service trade barriers within the CAFTA region affect the servicification of China's manufacturing output. The actual level of service trade barriers within the CAFTA region is measured using the tariff equivalent method, and the effects and impact pathways of CAFTA service trade barriers on servicification of China's manufacturing output to ASEAN are empirically verified using mediating mechanism effect and moderating mechanism effect models.
