Grassland ecosystem plays an important role in the terrestrial ecosystem,especially in soil and water conservation,carbon sequestration potential,and ecological stability.In recent years,problems such as the destruction of grassland ecological environment caused by intensified human activities had become prominent.After realizing this problem,various regions had also actively taken measures to carry out grassland ecological restoration and management work.At present,some considerable achievements had been made,but there are still some shortcomings,which need to be further improved and optimized.In order to carry out grassland ecolog-ical restoration and management work,targeted restoration technical means should be adopted according to the actual situation.The ecological restoration of grassland should be adapted to local conditions,and different resto-ration measures should be taken in different regions and grassland types.The causes of grassland degradation in Xianghuang Banner were analyzed in Xilin Gol League,Inner Mongolia,and put forward reasonable restoration methods.Because of the drought-resistant and cold-resistant characteristics of"Xilin Gol type"Ceratoides arbo-rescens,it had a remarkable effect in the restoration process,and can be widely promoted in this area.
