Research on screening test of high-quality and high-protein forage in Hohhot City
In order to select suitable high-quality high-protein forage crop varieties for cultivation in the Ho-hhot region,a comparative analysis of the nutritional composition,amino acids,and relative feeding value was conducted on 22 forage crop varieties.The experimental results revealed significant differences in nutrient and ami-no acid content among different forage crop varieties.The ranges of dry matter,crude protein,ash content,neutral detergent fiber,acid detergent fiber,and non-protein nitrogen content for the tested forage crop varieties were 91.20%~97.44%,13.40%~27.44%,6.40%~20.60%,40.28%~54.79%,33.15%~47.77%,and 0.37%~8.54%,respectively.The total amino acid content ranged from 3.30% to 17.98%,with relative feeding values concentrated between 97.39 and 141.27.Among the screened forage crops,those with higher crude protein content included alfalfa(27.44% ),Longmu 806(26.09% ),and Dong 2 Wild Pea(25.56% ).Dong 2 Wild Pea,clover bean,honeysuckle,wild pea,and arrow bitter pea exhibited higher comprehensive evaluation values.
