Different types of rare earth ions were added with varying concentrations in the cultivation process of Bacillus subtilis 1.108 for breeding high-yield xylanase strain. After addition 10-4 M Er3+at 0~6 h,the xylanase activity achieved 133.79 U/mL,which was 10.48%higher than the original strain.A high xylanase production strain was screened and named Bacillus subtilis X-Er,which showed good genetic stability of the high-yield xylanase during eight generations.Er3+increased cell permeability, which was one of the reasons for the increased xylanase activity.
