A preliminary study on the bio-utilization of waste paper for cultivation of Pholiota adiposa
In this experiment, the main material in the cotton seed shell medium was replaced with waste paper.By comparing the mycelial growth rate, mushroom emergence time, yield, biological efficiency, soluble protein and polysaccharide content,we aimed to investigate the feasibility of waste paper cultivation of Pholiota adiposa in order to explore a new bio-utilization technology of waste paper. The mycelial growth rate was significantly higher than that of cotton seed shell medium, which was 0.31 cm/d.The mushroom emergence time and biological efficiency were 41.8 d and 71.29%,respectively,which were not significantly different from those of cotton seed shell medium;the soluble protein content of the cap and stalk of the cysts was significantly lower than that of cotton seed shell medium, the poly-saccharide content of the cap was significantly lower than that of cotton seed shell medium, and the polysaccharide content of the stalk was significantly higher than that of cotton seed shell medium. The content of polysaccharide in the cap and stalk was significantly lower than that in the cotton seed shell medium, and that in the stalk was signifi-cantly higher than that in the cotton seed shell medium. In addition,it was found that the soluble protein content of the cap of Pholiota adiposa cultivated in both media was significantly higher than that of the stalk;the polysaccharide content of the cap and stalk of Pholiota adiposa cultivated in cotton seed husk media was not significantly different, while the polysaccharide content of the stalk of Pholiota adiposa cultivated in waste paper media was significantly higher than that of the cap.
