Formula derivation and test study for sludge specific resistance based on drainage method
Sludge after being conditioned by cationic polyacrylamide(CPAM)releases free water quickly and can form flocs with a diameter of several millimeters. In order to evaluate the dewaterability of flocculated sludge, the drainage method is widely used in the industry, but the evaluation way is not scientific and convenient enough.Through formula derivation, the basic equation of drainage method and formula of specific resistance are obtained. The results of linear fitting of test data show that goodness of fit index of all tests are higher than 96%,which proves the applicability of the equation. We can get following conclusions after the tests for studying the relationship between technical parameters of flocculant and the specific resistance:the CPAM ionic degree and molecular weight range suit-able for the sludge sample are 20%~25%and 8 million~10 million respectively; The higher the molecular weight of CPAM,the lower the optimal dosage, but the less helpful it is to sludge dewatering, and the more difficult it is to on-site operation; The optimal dosage of the two flocculants with the best effect was 3.16 kg/t,and the specific resistance values were 7.05×108 m/kg and 6.95×108 m/kg respectively.
