Analysis of two methods for the determination of permanganate index in chlorinated water samples
Permanganate index is a commonly used indicator to reflect the pollution of organic and inorganic oxi-dizable substances in water bodies, and its accuracy is affected by many factors, especially the concentration of chlo-ride ions interferes with it significantly. This paper analyzes the influencing factors of two methods to determine the permanganate index of chlorine-containing water samples through experiments, applies the best experimental condi-tions to the determination of Daihai Lake water samples, and corrects and compares the results, which is of some refer-ence significance for the accurate determination of permanganate index in high-salt lakes.
