Application of high-density electrical method in analyzing the causes of groundwater pol-lution in a certain municipal solid waste landfill site
Multiple groundwater analysis items in the downstream monitoring well of a domestic waste landfill in Inner Mongolia exceeded the standard, and the reason is unknown, suspected to be related to leakage from the landfill. To investigate the causes of groundwater pollution in the landfill site, this study intends to use high-density electrical methods to preliminarily determine whether there is leakage and its location in the landfill site, and speculate on the possible impact range caused by leakage. The results show that the leakage is mainly concentrated in the western and southwestern sections of the south dam of the landfill site,as well as the area around the leachate pool, and migrates downstream; The sub low resistance anomaly zone in the middle of Nanba is a potential leakage hazard and requires certain attention to prevent it from developing into a leakage channel; As the depth increases, the overall range of low resistance anomalies gradually narrows, and there are no low resistance anomalies after entering the bedrock. The bed-rock has a strong barrier effect on groundwater migration. The results of this study provide important references for fu-ture groundwater pollution control work in this type of landfill.
