Discussion on the problems and countermeasures faced by strengthening the important ecological security barrier in the north by focusing on sand prevention and control
The sand prevention and control work in Inner Mongolia has important strategic significance for the construction of ecological security barriers in northern China and the establishment of national energy bases. In recent years, the Party Committee and Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region have actively implemented the de-cisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee, deeply practiced Xi Jinping's ecological civilization thought, and coordinated the promotion of integrated protection and systematic governance of mountains, waters, forests, fields, lakes, grasses, and sands. The region adheres to the principles of adapting measures to local conditions, highlighting key areas, and combining prevention and control, and has implemented a series of ecological construction projects, achieving significant achievements. However,Inner Mongolia is currently facing severe challenges of climate drought and desertification, especially in the context of global climate change, making the task of preventing and controlling desertification increasingly difficult. At present, the ecological restoration and construction of the area are still in the preliminary stage, and the governance effect is still unstable. The overall situation is still severe.Especially in the overall management of the mountain, water, forest, farmland, lake, grass and sand system, there is still a certain gap.
