Progeny Determination and Mid-Term Selection of Superior Trees of Michelia Macclurei
In this study, the growth indexes of 11 families of Michelia macclurei were analyzed, and the genetic parameters and genetic gain were estimated. The results showed that the mean values of DBH,tree height, individual volume and stem form of the progeny test forest were significantly higher than those of the control families.Three families were selected by multiple comparison, which were No.23,No.7 and No.5 families, respectively. The genetic gains were 23.3%,22.1%,10.5%and 8.8%,respectively.These families can be used as materials for the construction of high-generation gardens and can also be promoted as excellent materials.
