Through the establishment of seed orchard,high-quality seeds are produced for affor-estation and regeneration afforestation.However,seed yield is affected by the feeding damage of cones and seed pests to a certain extent.It is very important to find out the methods to inhibit the damage of pests.This paper reviews the species,feeding characteristics,progress and control strategies of pests on cones and seeds of spruce in foreign countries,especially in Europe,aiming at providing reference for coniferous tree species such as spruce in China.
