Based on the monitoring results of the third and fourth rocky desertification in Yunnan Province,this paper analyzes the changes of rocky desertification in Zhanyi District of Qujing City from 2016 to 2021.The results showed that Zhanyi District was dominated by mild and moderate rocky desertification,and the incidence of rocky desertification was 20.23％.Mild and moderate rocky desertification land was mainly distributed in the Yangtze River Basin,and severe and extremely severe rocky desertification land was mainly distributed in the Pearl River Basin.In the later stage,we can strengthen the monitoring of rocky desertification areas by improving the scientific and technological level of monitoring and control,increasing capital investment,shortening the monitoring cycle,coordinating the monitoring and prevention of rocky desertifica-tion,and promoting multi-sectoral collaboration.Timely understanding of the status and trends of rocky desertification can provide certain decision support for rocky desertification prevention and soil erosion control.
