Investigation and Faunal Analysis of Amphibians and Reptiles in the Wuliangsuhai Wetland Waterfowl Nature Reserve at the Autonomous Region Level in Inner Mongolia
To comprehensively understand the species,faunal regions,and population status of amphibians and reptiles in the Wuliangsuhai Wetland Waterfowl Nature Reserve at the Autonomous Region Level in Inner Mongolia,and to promote the precise construction and management of the protected area,the authors conducted a survey on the amphibian and reptile resources in the reserve from May to August 2023.The survey recorded 3 species of amphibians,belonging to 1 order,2 families,and 2 genera;and 7 species of reptiles,belonging to 3 orders,4 families,and 5 genera.The reserve is located in the Palearctic faunal region's Inner Mongolian subregion,with 5 species endemic to the Palearctic region and 5 shared species between the Oriental and Palearctic regions.
