Suggestions for the Implementation of Wetland Ecological Compensation Policy in Yunnan:A Case Study of Dashanbao,Napahai, and Lashihai
Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior and using a questionnaire survey, this study collected data on personal information, perceptions of wetlands, understanding of ecological compensation policies, and economic conditions of farmers within the three internationally important wetlands of Dashanbao,Napahai, and Lashihai in Yunnan Province.A Logistic regression analysis model was employed to explore the impact of factors such as age, gender, years of education, number of family members, annual income, degree of environmental improvement, and perceived behavioral control on farmers'willingness to pay.The results indicate that gender has no significant effect on the willingness to pay;age has a significant negative effect;the level of education, number of family members, and annual income have significant positive effects;and environmental improvement can enhance the willingness to pay of farmers.Based on these findings, recommendations are made to strengthen publicity and education, improve environmental compensation measures, standardize project management, and increase non-monetary compensat-ion methods to encourage farmer participation in wetland conservation.
