This article analyzes the progress of forest carbon sink development in Guizhou Province from aspects of resource conditions,transaction situations,and monitoring status.It summarizes the existing problems in the development of forest carbon sinks in Guizhou Province and proposes corresponding suggestions to address these issues.The suggestions include promoting the shift of forest carbon sink resource cultivation from expansion to quality improvement,expanding the space for carbon sink afforestation,conducting research on carbon sink measurement and monitoring of forests,grasslands,and wetlands,strengthening climate change and forest carbon sink propaganda,and improving carbon sink incentive policies and technical standards.These suggestions aim to provide ideas for the future development of forest carbon sinks in Guizhou Province.
