Current Status of Wildlife and Plant Distribution and Conservation Strategies in Qinghua Green Peafowl Provincial Nature Reserve in Weishan of Yunnan Province
This study focuses on the Qinghua Green Peafowl Provincial Nature Reserve in Weishan,Yunnan Province, and employs line transect surveys, plot surveys, community interviews, and data collection and organization to investigate and analyze the distribution of wildlife and plant resources within the reserve. The results indicate that there are 251 species of vertebrates in the reserve, including 197 species of birds,22 species of mammals,13 species of amphibians, and 19 species of reptiles. The reserve also has 584 species of seed plants, categorized into 14 types, predominantly consisting of tropical species and genera, with temperate species and genera as a secondary component. The reserve currently faces threats such as significant isolation effects, substantial human activity interference, and frequent natural disasters.Based on these findings, conservation recommendations are proposed, including accelerating the construction of ecological corridors, strengthening the control of human disturbances, and enhancing the capacity to defend against natural disasters. These suggestions aim to provide a reference for the reserve to develop scientifically effective biodiversity conservation strategies.
