Impact Assessment of Highway Tunnel Construction on Biodiversity in Huoshan Provincial Nature Reserve in Shanxi Province
The Taiyueshan Tunnel section of the Changzhi-Yan'an(G2211)expressway in Shanxi,part of the Qingdao-Lanzhou National Expressway,crosses the Huoshan Provincial Nature Reserve in Shanxi.Based on relevant technical specifications and the actual situation of the Huoshan Provincial Nature Reserve,this article analyzes and evaluates the impact of the Changzhi-Yan'an(G2211)expressway in Shanxi,specifically the Taiyueshan Tunnel section,on the biodiversity of the Huoshan Provincial Nature Reserve from six aspects:landscape/ecosystem,biological communities,populations/species,main conservation targets,biological safety,and social factors.The aim is to provide a basis for mitigating the impact of the construction project on the biodiversity of the nature reserve.The results show that the impact assessment scores of the construction project on each primary indicator from high to low are as follows:landscape/ecosystem(62.6 points)>social factors(58.0 points)>biological communities(56.0 points)=biological safety(56.0 points)>populations/species(54.0 points)>main conservation targets(50.0 points).The biodiversity impact index of the construction project on the Huoshan Provincial Nature Reserve is 55.92,and the degree of impact is classified as"moderate-low impact".
