Anhui Province is home to two major forest areas,the Southern Anhui and Western Anhui,with abundant natural forest resources.The task of managing natural forest resources and protecting ecological environments is challenging and long-term.Although Anhui Province is not within the scope of the national nature reserve project area,it has been listed as one of the provinces for the"expansion and improvement"of natural forest protection since 2016,and has completely stopped commercial logging of natural forests.Some achievements have been made in the protection and management of natural forests,but there are still deficiencies.This paper introduces in detail the achievements made in the management of natural forests in Anhui Province,analyzes the existing problems in natural forest management,and proposes corresponding countermeasures and suggestions,providing a decision-making basis for the protection and management of natural forests in Anhui Province.
