Effects of Different Concentrations of IBA on Softwood Cutting of Three Tamarix Species
Tamarix plants have strong sand fixation, drought resistance and saline-alkali resistance. In this study,Tamarix leptostachya,Tamarix chinensis and Tamarix ramosissima were selected as the research objects. The semi-lignified branches of the same year were selected as cuttings, and the survival rate of cuttings, average new branch length and seedling height of three kinds of Tamarix were comprehensively evaluated by using the membership func-tion method through IBA treatment experiments with different concentrations. The effects of IBA concentration on the cuttings of three kinds of Tamarix were studied to provide reference for cuttings breeding of Tamarix. The results showed that according to the membership function method, there were significant differences in the survival rate of cutting, average new branch length and seedling height of three Tamarix after IBA treatment with different concen-trations(P<0.05),among them, the order of survival rate was Tamarix ramosissima(68.75%)>Tamarix lepto-stachya(63.89%)>Tamarix chinensis(36.09%),and the average new branch length and seedling height of Tamarix chinensis were the highest, which was 14.12 cm and 17.04 cm.There were differences among IBA concentrations applicable to three kinds of Tamarix for softwood cutting. The treatment of 500 mg.L-1 for Tamarix leptostachya and Tamarix ramosissima can achieve a better cutting, while 1 000 mg.L-1 is required for Tamarix chinensis.
