Relationship Between Branch Thorn Index of Lycium ruthenicum and Meteorological Factors in 2 Different Ecoligical Regions in Alxa
Taking the Lycium ruthenicum from two typical ecotypes in Alxa as the research object,we studied the relationship between the average number of branch thorns and the average length of branch thorns of 1a-growing branches and meteorological factors, aiming to find out the key meteorological factors affecting the growth of branch thorns. The results showed that:(1)the average number of thorns and the average length of thorns of one-year old branch in extreme drought region Ⅱ were larger than that in drought region Ⅰ,and the average length of thorns in region I and region II was significantly different from that in the two ecotypes.(2)Correlation analysis showed that high temperature weather during the growing season could significantly promote the growth of the average number of thorns and the average length of thorns of one-year old branch, and the average number of thorns in region I was significantly positively correlated with the average temperature and the average maximum temperature of April,May,and June, and the average length of thorns in region I and region II was significantly correlated with the≥10℃cumulative temperatures in May,June, and August, and the average temperature and the average maximum temperature of April,May,and June, and the average length of branch thorns in region I were significantly positively correlated with the average maximum temperature of June and August, and the branch thorn length in region II was significantly positive correlated with mean temperature and mean maximum temperature in May.(3)Regression analysis showed that the average number of one-year old branch thorns in region I and region II was significantly and linearly negatively correlated with the average relative humidity in June and the average relative humidity in April,May,and June, respectively, and the average length of one-year old branch thorns in region I was negatively and linearly correlated with the average relative humidity in May.Therefore, the conditions of high relative humidity and relatively sufficient moisture in April,May,and June were unfavorable to the growth of the average number of branch thorns of one-year old branch branches, and the high relative humidity in May was unfavorable to the growth of the average length of branch thorns of one-year old branch.Overall, high temperature during the growing season were favorable to the growth of the average number of thorns and the average length of thorns on one-year old branch of Lycium ruthenicum, while conditions of high relative humidity and relatively sufficient soil moisture were unfavorable to the growth of the average number of thorns and the average length of thorns on one-year old branch.
