During the Republic of China,many westerners visited Inner Mongolia region for investigation due to the expansion of foreign colonial forces.With the development of photography technology,some of them took a large number of photos as an important means of recording.These images reflect the social condition and thus are valuable references for the study of the history and culture of Inner Mongolia during the Republic of China and the history of the northern border of China.
