Mongolian Crown Prince Kuoduan's"Castle on the Top of the Hill"——Study of"the Ordo in Xijitan"
The stele of Caotang Temple in Huxian was engraved with a decree issued by the Mongolian Crown Prince Kuoduan in 1247,which has been studied since the 1950s.However,after nearly 70 years, the issue of where"the Ordo in Xijitan"is,the place the decree was issued, has not been solved.According to the location view of the ancient northern nomads, the"northwest"in"the Ordo around Xijitan about 100 li northwest of Xiliangfu"in the decree should be"southwest"direction.Tibetan documents also prove that King Kuoduan's palace was"the castle on the top of Liangzhoushan"located in the Huangcheng town of Yugur Autonomous County of Sunan at the northern foot of the Qilian Mountains in western Gansu Province, which has been known as Xiaritala since the Yuan Dynasty.
