Through methods of field survey,expert interview and SWOT analysis,this paper studies the ad-vantages,disadvantages,opportunities and challenges of the development of"Naadam"in Inner Mongolia Autono-mous Region under the"Belt and Road"background.The advantages include such as the rich natural,human and cultural resources;The opportunities include such as the government policy support and the growing spiritual and cultural needs of people.The disadvantages include such as the weak driving force for innovation and lack of strong management mechanism and institutional construction;The challenges include such as the shortage of inheritors due to the accelerated population mobility and the weak international discourse power in sports.Therefore,the strategies for high-quality development of"Naadam"include such as optimizing dissemination measures and enhancing lan-guage exchange,international communication,and talent support.
