Application of modified epoxy resin in corrosion resistant cement slurry
In CCUS Wells,the corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of cement stone are key to ensure the integrity of cement ring seal.The most commonly used anti-corrosion cement slurry system is film-forming and plugging polymer materials such as latex,which can improve the density of cement stone and reduce the permeability of cement stone,and thus reduce the intrusion resistance of increasing CO2.However,latex and other materials will lead to low compressive strength of the cement stone,which is not conducive to the long-term integrity of the cement ring during the early fracturing and later repeated injection and production of CCUS Wells.In this study,curable resin was used instead of latex to reduce the diffusion rate and improve the mechanical properties of cement.The epoxy resin was modified with fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether,and 2-ethyl-4-methylimidazole was selected as the curing agent.The resin and curing agent system formed could be directly mixed with the slurry water.The site operation was sim-ple,and the curing reaction of the resin was independent of the thickening reaction of the cement slurry.The resin cement slurry composite system has strong temperature resistance,good fluidity at 130℃,ad-justable thickening time,7d compressive strength up to 51.1MPa,and Young's modulus as low as 4.97GPa.The resin solidified body can effectively improve the compactness of cement stone,reduce the per-meability of cement stone,and then reduce the intrusion resistance of CO2,and the formed resin cement slurry composite system has good corrosion resistance.
