With the development and wide application of top drive technology,our company has devel-oped a hydraulically driven casing device with top drive.The top of the device is connected with the top drive spindle,and the wedge slip is driven by the driving hydraulic cylinder to clamp the casing tightly.Combined with the rotation and pulling function of top drive,casing down operation is completed.The cas-ing device is designed with a mandrel seal that seals the casing hole and allows mud circulation while run-ning the casing,reducing the risk of well accidents during casing down operations.The tool has been used to complete 29 well casing operations with a 100％success rate.The application of the casing unit has re-duced labor intensity and increased the efficiency and success rate of casing operations.
