Current Status of Ancient DNA of Human Bones Research on Hongshan Culture in the West Liao River Basin
As one of the six major archaeological cultural regions,the West Liaohe River Basin holds a significant position in the history of Chinese civilization.The formation and development model of the Hongshan Culture has been a hot topic in academia.Currently,modern archaeology has conducted extensive research and analysis on the Hongshan Culture using physical materials such as animal and plant remains,pottery,and jade artifacts.However,the researches on the human subjects who created this regional culture is still insufficient.This paper summarizes the currently published DNA studies related to the Hongshan Culture,aiming to provide references for further in-depth research.
