Professor Xie Lin discusses the clinical effect of treating cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type from the theory of"phlegm and blood stasis stagnation"
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Geze Dingxuan decoction on cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type with phlegm and blood stasis syndrome.Methods:100 patients who met the inclusion criteria and were included in the study were randomly di-vided into the control group and the treatment group.Flunarizine hydrochloride capsules and Geze Dingxuan decoction were used to treat them respectively, and were evaluated by observing the cervical vertigo symptom and function evaluation scale(ESCV),dizziness question-naire(DHI),pain visual analogue score(VAS score)and the efficacy index Macnab efficacy evaluation standard. Results:Compared with before treatment, the ESVC,DHI and VAS values of the two groups were significantly better after 2 weeks and 3 months of treatment. The comparison between the two groups showed that,by comparing the ESVC,DHI and VAS values 3 months after treatment,Geze Dingxuan Decoction was obviously superior to flunarizine hydrochloride capsule group. The clinical effective rate of Geze Dingxuan decoction group was 97.83%(45/46),which was higher than that of flunarizine hydrochloride capsule(83.67%,41/49).Conclusion:Geze Dingxuan decoc-tion has a good clinical effect on cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type with phlegm and blood stasis syndrome, and it is worth pop-ularizing because of its outstanding characteristics.
